"Plutontek" is a renowned and recognized manufacturer, exporter and supplier of Rotary Airlock Valves, from Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Drop-through rotary valves are most basic type of rotary valve used in all applications. The Material discharge is by gravity. Design is capable of feeding materials in vast applications, however the drop-through valves are mainly used for relatively free-flowing and non-cohesive materials.
This type of valve design may be your best option when there are a number of rotary valves in series on a single convey line. In this scenario, blow-through valves put too much resistance on the product and can cause it to break down, whereas drop-through design may better protect the product’s integrity.
Another advantage of drop-through rotary valves is in the applications where cleaning of valve interiors is very essential for product safety. With drop-through design, internal parts of valve can be accessed easily without dismantling convey line connections. This makes cleaning quicker and easier.
A blow-through rotary airlock valve creates an airlock seal between pressurized and non-pressurized areas. It's used to move dry, free-flowing bulk solids like powders, granules, and crystals.
Mainly this valve is used in pneumatic conveying systems and to control the feed of powders from silos, hoppers, bag filter houses, or cyclones to pneumatic conveying lines.
Main benefit of using blow through rotary airlock valve is it's a good choice for low-clearance installations where a drop-through may not fit.

In general, for a drop through rotary valve, the rotary vane / blades of rotor, scoops up material from the inlet side and transfers it to the outlet side, effectively moving the material across the pressure barrier. As the rotor rotates, the vanes create a seal between the inlet and outlet, preventing the escape of gas or pressure from one side to the other. Electric motor with gearbox or gearmotor is the main prime mover, either coupled directly or with chain drive.
Blow through rotary valves works on same principle of drop through rotary valves, except the discharge of material is to the conveying system pipes. Blow through valves are mostly ideal for cohesive or sticky powders like cocoa, flour, or milk powders because due to their compaction or sticking nature. These powders may not discharge properly from a drop through rotary valve, hence using blow through rotary valve, discharge is optimized by blowing these easily compacted powders out of the rotor pockets, which helps keep the rotor clear of buildup.
Material handled by our rotary airlock valves is Fine Powder, Dust, Bulk solid, straw , Granules , Lumpy material Powders, Pellets, Dust, Crystals, Cement, Ore, Sugar, Minerals, Grains, PVC Chips, Fly ash, Starch, Guar gum Powder, Gypsum, Lime, Coffee, Cereals, Pharmaceutical ingredients.
We are supplying rotors for our manufactured rotary airlock Valves with mainly 2 options:-
1. Open Ended Rotors 2. Close Ended Rotors
Each Types of rotor has its own application criteria and usage.
These types of rotors are majorly used in coarse material and sticky material transfer.
Higher discharge flow rate possible with this type of rotors.
These types of rotors are majorly used in fine materials, high temp. and pressure requirements.
Seals & end plates have longer life with these rotors.
These types of rotors are majorly used where material is abrasive, maintenance is high, and sticky.
Tips of required MOC are very easy to replace and easy to maintain
